Abstract:

Peripheral blood neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR) is an immune inflammation indicator. Abnormal elevation of NLR indicates poor prognosis of malignant tumors, autoimmune diseases and cardiovascular diseases. Recently,it has been suggested that low-level immune inflammation is probably involved in eye diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy(DR),macular degeneration and dry eye disease(DED). Many scholars have explored the relationship between NLR and various eye diseases. In this review, the main clinical application of NLR and its research progress in some eye diseases are summarized.
