Abstract: Objective　To investigate the clinical significance and change of glycated albumin（GA） for patients with liver cirrhosis.   Methods　The percentage of GA（GA%） and the level of glucose（Glu） in 105 patients with liver cirrhosis and 80 healthy controls were detected by enzyme method and hexokinase（HK） method. A total of 105 patients with liver cirrhosis were classified into 2 groups according to the Child-Pugh criterion，86 patients in Child-Pugh A group and 19 patients in Child-Pugh B+C group. The differences of GA% and Glu between the 2 groups were analyzed. Results　GA% increased significantly in liver cirrhosis group，compared with that in control group（P<0.01）. There was no statistical significance of the level and abnormal rate of Glu between the 2 groups（P>0.05）. Furthermore，along with the progression of liver disease，the abnormal rate of GA% increased obviously，and that of Glu had no significant difference. Conclusions　GA% in liver cirrhosis patients with normal Glu increases abnormally and is closely related to the disease progression.
