Abstract:

Objective To investigate the roles of plasma D-dimer(DD),transferrin(Tf),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and fibrinogen(Fg) for rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Methods A total of 95 patients with RA were enrolled, and 90 healthy subjects were enrolled as healthy control group. Plasma DD,Fg,hemoglobin(Hb),platelet(PLT),C-reactive protein(CRP),ESR and Tf were determined. Results In RA group,DD,CRP,ESR,Fg and PLT were higher than those in healthy control group(P<0.01),while Hb and Tf were lower(P<0.01). Correlation analysis showed that the increasing of DD,PLT and Fg in RA group was positively correlated with 28-joint disease activity score(DAS28)(r=0.54,0.45 and 0.42,P<0.05),and Tf was correlated negatively with DAS28(r = -0.29,P<0.01). Conclusions DD,Tf,PLT and Fg may be used as indicators for RA disease activity assessment.
