Research progress and treatment strategies of carbapenemases-producing Enterobacteriaceae

Abstract

Abstract:

Enterobacteriaceae being resistant to carbapenemases has occurred in many countries in recent years. The main mechanism is carbapenemases-producing. Particularly,Enterobacteriaceae,which produces Class A enzymes of Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemases（KPC） or Class B metallo-beta-lactamases（MβL）,has outbroken in many areas of the world. Carbapenemases-producing Enterobacteriaceae（CPE） could result in serious bacterial infections and lead to patient death. However,the current treatment options are limited,so the early detection and monitoring of CPE colonization or infection are crucial for controlling the occurrence and spread of drug resistance.
